Once your business is eligible to post work on Knomart, the first task can feel like a bigger step than it really is.

You are moving from simply running your business to asking the wider Knomart network to help you solve a real business need.

Start With One Clear Need

Do not try to put your entire business problem into one task.

Choose one defined piece of work. Maybe you need a sign repaired, products photographed, equipment serviced, a delivery completed or another specific business task handled.

The clearer the task, the easier it is for the right person to understand what you need.

Explain the Result You Want

A good task describes the outcome, not just the activity.

Instead of saying “I need help with my shop,” explain what needs to be done and what you expect to have when the task is complete.

Give enough context for someone to decide whether they have the skills, experience and availability to take it on.

Include the Important Details

Before publishing, review the practical information a potential responder will need.

• What exactly needs to be done?
• Where or how will the work happen?
• What requirements matter?
• When does the work need to be completed?
• What information would help someone decide whether to respond?

Do not add unnecessary information simply to make the post longer. Make the useful information easy to understand.

Write for the Person Who Will Respond

Remember that the person reading your task does not know what is in your head.

Explain the situation from their point of view. If there is a particular skill, tool, experience or condition that matters, say so.

Review Before You Post

Read the task once as though you were seeing it for the first time.

Could someone understand what needs to happen without contacting you for basic information? If not, improve the description before publishing.
