Posting your first task is the point where a business moves from handling a need internally to inviting the wider Knomart network to help solve it. The process does not need to be complicated. It needs to be clear.
1. Make Sure Your Business Is Eligible
Before a merchant can post work on Knomart, the business must have been actively using the system for at least 14 days and have recorded 50 or more sales. This applies to both Free and paid merchants. The requirement helps ensure that work opportunities come from genuine business activity.
2. Start With One Clear Need
Choose one defined piece of work. It could be a delivery, stock-counting task, equipment service, content work or another specific business need. If the need is too broad, the right member may not know what you are actually asking them to do.
3. Describe the Result You Want
Explain the outcome rather than simply naming an activity. Tell potential applicants what needs to be completed and what “done” should look like. Give enough context for someone to decide whether their skills and experience fit the task.
4. Include the Important Details
Before publishing, check that the post answers the practical questions a member is likely to have:
- What exactly needs to be done?
- Where or how will the work happen?
- What requirements matter?
- When should it be completed?
- What payment or terms apply?
5. Fund the Work Before It Appears
For paid merchant work, the required funds are placed into the system before the opportunity is published. This protects the payment side of the opportunity and means members are not applying to a paid task based only on a promise to pay later.
6. Let the Right Member Apply
Once the opportunity is published, members can review it and apply. Applicants are ranked through Profile Strength, while the merchant makes the selection. A clear task gives applicants better information and gives you a better basis for choosing someone who fits the work.
7. Review Before Publishing
Read the task as if you were seeing it for the first time. Could a suitable member understand the work without asking basic questions? If not, improve the post before publishing it.
Your first task sets the standard for your merchant experience. Be specific, honest and practical: describe the need clearly, fund paid work properly, and give the right people enough information to decide whether they can help.
