Gyms rarely lose members to a competitor. They lose them to a renewal date that passed without anyone noticing.
What the app is built around
The membership, not the person. Each membership carries its rate, its cycle and its expiry, so the register stops being a list of names and becomes a schedule of what is due.
What it helps you see
- Expected collections for the month against what actually arrived
- Who expires this week, in time to do something about it
- Active against lapsed, so the member count means something
- Attendance, which is the earliest warning that a renewal is at risk
- Different cycles — daily, monthly and annual members counted correctly
Where it changes a decision
Where to spend effort. A gym that knows which twelve members are lapsing this month has a far better use of an afternoon than one running a general promotion at everybody.
What it is not
It is not a training programme or an access control system. It answers the business questions: who is due, who paid, who is drifting away.
Price and fit
Gym & Fitness is $25 a month, and Knomart charges only for the apps you install.
It suits any gym past the point where the owner can hold every renewal date in their head — which is usually somewhere around thirty members.
Gyms often add the Member Renewals add-on at $12 a month, which handles renewal reminders and the member register at volume. Adding it takes the monthly total to $37 — apps are priced individually and can be dropped again if they do not earn their place.
