When you approach a local business as a Knomart Agent, it can be tempting to explain the platform immediately. But a list of features does not tell you what matters most to that particular merchant.
Start with the business owner's reality
Walk into the conversation with curiosity. Ask about the business, how money is tracked, and where the owner finds it difficult to know what is happening.
A useful opening question from the Knomart model is: “Do you know exactly what your shop made yesterday?”
It is simple, practical and focused on money control rather than software.
Listen before you explain
The answer tells you where the real conversation should go. A merchant may know their sales but have less visibility into expenses, stock, customer balances or what was actually left after the day's activity.
Do not assume every business has the same problem. Listen to the merchant's situation first, then decide what is relevant.
Solve the problem they actually have
Once you understand the gap, explain only what is relevant. If the merchant's concern is knowing where money is going, keep the conversation around visibility and control. If another issue matters more, address that instead.
This makes the conversation more useful than presenting every capability Knomart has. The agent is helping the business owner understand a practical problem and consider a relevant solution.
Build trust through a real conversation
A local business owner should never feel pressured into a feature tour. Good selling starts with understanding. Be clear about what you know, avoid creating problems that do not exist, and let the merchant make an informed decision.
Walking the estate is therefore not about finding the perfect sales pitch. It is about meeting businesses where they are, asking better questions and leading with the issue that matters most: control of the business's money.
Lead with money control. Listen carefully. Then show only what helps.
