Why Higher Partner Rank Does Not Mean Higher Commission

Knomart Partner rank recognises the scale and influence of a Partner business—not a higher commission rate.

It is easy to assume that reaching Silver, Gold or Platinum should automatically unlock a better commission rate. Knomart deliberately does not work that way.

The Commission Rate Stays the Same

Knomart's Partner model keeps commission rates aligned with the individual Agent model. A higher Partner rank does not change the percentage earned from merchant sales.

This separation is intentional. Rank measures the scale of the Partner operation, while commission compensates the work of selling and supporting Knomart.

So What Does Rank Recognise?

Partner rank is based on active paying merchants. Silver requires 50, Gold requires 200, and Platinum requires 500.

Those thresholds show the size of the active merchant operation a Partner has built. The rank therefore carries recognition because it represents real businesses being served, rather than simply a larger list of prospects or free merchants.

Higher Rank Creates Influence

If commission does not increase, the question becomes: what is the value of progressing?

The answer is influence. Higher Partner ranks can receive greater visibility and operational recognition, including lead-routing priority, support and escalation priority, co-branding and public recognition, and a stronger voice in product decisions.

That gives rank a different purpose. A Partner is not being paid a larger percentage simply for having a bigger merchant book. Instead, a Partner that has demonstrated substantial scale can have more influence within the ecosystem it helps build.

Why Keep Commission Separate?

Separating rank from commission keeps the Partner ladder easier to understand. The commission reflects the commercial work. The rank reflects the scale and maturity of the Partner operation.

It also avoids turning rank into a race for a percentage increase. Partners can focus on building strong merchant relationships, supporting businesses well and growing an active paying merchant base.

Rank Is About More Than Money

Knomart is structured as a nonprofit, so it does not offer equity in the organisation as a reward for growing the channel. Influence therefore becomes an important form of recognition.

Higher Partner rank does not mean a higher commission rate. It means the Partner has built enough real operating scale for greater recognition, access and influence to make sense.
