Your agent is meant to be your day-to-day point of support after signup. But relationships do not always work as expected. You may need a different level of support, clearer communication, or a relationship that better fits your business.

That is why agent switching is part of the model. The goal is not to make changing agents difficult; it is to give the existing relationship a fair opportunity to resolve the problem first.

Why 14 Days?

Knomart uses a 14-day resolution window for agent switching. The period gives the current agent an opportunity to understand what is wrong, communicate with the merchant and try to resolve the issue.

This matters because an agent is responsible for supporting the merchants they sign. A problem that can be fixed through a conversation or practical help should not automatically become a broken relationship.

Resolution Comes Before Replacement

The window creates space for a useful conversation. Instead of treating dissatisfaction as an immediate transfer, the merchant and current agent have a defined period in which the issue can be understood and addressed.

If the relationship still is not working after that period, the merchant can move forward with the decision to switch. The principle is simple: give the existing relationship a reasonable chance to recover, without making the merchant stay indefinitely.

What Merchants Should Look For

If you are considering a switch, be clear about the problem. Is it communication? Support? Understanding of your business? Availability? Identifying the actual issue makes the 14-day conversation more useful.

Remember that the purpose of the window is resolution, not pressure. A good outcome may be a stronger relationship with the current agent. If it is not, the merchant should be able to make a different choice.

Fourteen days is a resolution window, not a trap. It gives an existing agent a fair opportunity to fix the relationship while preserving the merchant's ability to choose a better fit when the relationship genuinely is not working.
