A Knomart Agent and a Knomart Partner do different jobs. An Agent is an individual who sells, implements and supports Knomart. A Partner is a registered business that can employ agents and provide a more formal service relationship to merchants.
What Changes When You Become a Partner?
The biggest change is not your merchant count. It is the kind of service you are able to provide.
A growing merchant may eventually want an invoice, a contract, a company they can call on a Saturday, or a more formal and compliant setup. At that point, operating only as an individual can become limiting.
A registered Partner gives the merchant a business to deal with while also giving the agent a structure through which the operation can grow.
When Is the Right Time?
There is no single merchant number that automatically means you should register a business. The better question is whether the nature of your work has changed.
Consider becoming a Partner when:
- Merchants increasingly need formal business documentation and service relationships.
- You are building an operation that can support more than your own personal capacity.
- You need to employ other agents to serve your merchant book.
- You want to build a business around Knomart rather than operate only as an individual agent.
The important point is that registration should follow a real business need, not simply the desire for a higher title.
Why Partners Can Scale Differently
A Partner can employ agents, allowing support to grow without every merchant relationship depending on one person. This creates a practical path from individual work to a business operation.
The Partner model also keeps Knomart's channel structure clear: the Partner is a registered business, while the people doing the work remain Knomart members and agents.
What About Partner Rank?
Partner status and Partner rank are different questions. Once registered, a Partner can progress through Silver, Gold and Platinum based on active paying merchants. Free merchants do not count toward rank.
So you do not need to wait for a particular rank before deciding that a business structure makes sense. Register when the operation needs the structure—not merely because you have reached a number.
The progression is simple: member, certified agent, registered business, then Partner ranks. The right time to register is when your merchant work has become a business that needs to operate like one.
